Artist StatementI was inspired by an ordinary visit to the market after the crowds had departed. The vendors were selling the frost-nipped produce at a discount, always a good thing, but I could not get my eyes off this bright globe.

2014 Sitting on the floor of the Santa Fe Farmer's Market on the first frosty morning in November, this pumpkin seems to illuminate the room and bask the chilly room with a warm glow.
