Artist Statement

Our neighbor, Galaxy M101, is a gorgeous pinwheel, some 21 million light-years distant, and can be seen in the constellation Ursa Major. Some think that Van Gogh depicted this galaxy in A Starry Night.

M 101

30 x 30
2011
