Artist Statement

As a newcomer to the clear blue skies of the Southwest, I was agog at the sight of the bright moon floating in the day.  Here a gibbous moon sails above the arroyo filled to overflowing with the bright yellow chamisa blooms.

Moon at Noon

16 x 20
2014
The morning sun has hastened the blooms in the arroyo, and the moon, just past full, is powerless to add life or light, is nontheless beautiful in its remote presence.
