Artist Statement

I celebrated the 200th anniversary of Edgar Allen Poe's birth by participating in an exhibit of art inspired by his stories and poems. Many of the  selected  artists created ravens, but I went with the blood-tinged blade from the gruesome "Pit and the Pendulum" so I could play with the concept of the fleetingness of time.
