Artist Statement

An academic discussion came up among catechists: what was the best way to depict the Holy Spirit - was it to be the flame? or the dove? Both sides of the argument were vehement, and cited the examples in traditional depictions. So I  combined the two concepts in one image, a dove in colors of flame.  This image was later used as the cover of a book: Women's inspirational Daily Prayer by Suzanne Haraburd (2012).
