Stars to Start

​What a beautiful crazy year.  2019 saw new projects all year long. For me, the year began with moon, sun and stars – and unexpectedly, is ending that way too.
 
In January, I opened my long-anticipated my solo show, “Universe in Pieces” at the Fuller Lodge Art Center in Los Alamos, New Mexico. I exhibited over a dozen of my biggest and finest Original Collages, all featuring aspects of the Cosmos – from Moons, to Planets in our solar system, and far-off nebulae and star-birth clouds.

Around the State, Across the Pond

Soon after that, my “Hear the Echoes” collage was made into a poster by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the State of New Mexico, who distributed it all over the state, as well as every office in the State Capitol while the legislature was in session.  I was proud to know that my work celebrated Poets of New Mexico.

This year, marked a first for me: I exhibited my work in an international collage exhibition, in England, “Fresh Cuts.”

In the late Spring, I debuted an Etsy shop to create a truly accessible venue to people who want to buy my art, from small giftable products to the large Original Collages. I also prepared for a few summer shows “Happy Little Clouds”, “Making Waves” and “Shakespeare on the Wall”.

The Autumn brought a flurry of activity as I created new work for the Recycle Santa Fe Arts Festival – a collection of originals featuring aspens on small wood panels.  This well-attended weekend show is one of the most loved by visitors and locals.

Soon after this whirlwind, I plied my wares at two pop-up shows at the world-famous
​ Meow Wolf, in Santa Fe.

​And now, how does 2020 begin? 
With sun, moon, stars – and galaxies, nebulae, and star birth clouds!

 As the name implies, the focus of this site will be the Cosmos – everything outer space, all the time.  I will also post art featuring my fabulous beasts, like my “Dragon”.  Greeting cards, blank book journals, mousepads are here as well as art prints and full framed Original Collages.

​Of course, I will keep my other shop: DECOfineartcollage – this is where you can find Scenes of New Mexico, fine ladies dancing, juicy pears and pumpkins, as well as prints of Guadalupe.
