Hello Again! This has been a busy week here in Santa Fe, at least for us artist folk! I have been preparing for the big SANTA FE STUDIO TOUR, coming up on a few weeks. For this event, I open up my home studio to the public and invited guests, and this means that the studio has to get “ready for its close up”. The last few days have included much outdoor preparation – those of you who have visited me before know that my studio opens up to my little backyard patio. So I have been sweeping, planting flowers, pruning trees… and getting the swamp cooler ready for summer. And with this done, I am ready to bring in and install the artwork. I will be displaying several framed original collages (Including “Bloomsday at Molly Malone’s”) and demonstrating my collage technique to visitors. The Tour takes place on the last two weekends of June, plus the Preview Show on Friday, June 17 in the Gallery at Santa Fe University of Art and Design). More information can be had by going to the Tour’s page. The brochure is readily available at Santa Fe area art stores and hotels as well. (One of my pieces is on the front cover of the brochure!) You can find me on the Tour at Studio 35, near Siler and Cerrillos, just down the street from Jackalope. Meanwhile, I will be at the SANTA FE RAILYARD ARTISAN MARKET, this Sunday as usual, from 10 am to 4 pm. This will be one of only two times I am going to be at the Market in June - I will be in my studio for the last two Sundays, hosting my event on the Tour. Come see what I am working on… I am racing to complete it before June 16th – Bloomsday! I will be celebrating the day with song and story with the other Joyce Geeks at MeowWolf. (Find it on Facebook: Ulysses in Fancy Town). And now back to the easel – time to cut and paste! Love and peace, Deco
