“Sounds of laughter, shades of life are ringing through my open ears, Inciting and inviting me…” so sang John Lennon in his beautiful “Across the Universe”. The shades of life have been bright and sunny in Santa Fe. I am pleased to announce that I have just opened a little exhibition featuring several of my planetary and galaxy pieces. I have named the show Across the Universe. The invitation to present my work was unexpected and sudden, but very welcome. I signed the contract in the morning and was displaying in the afternoon, with the timely help of two artists, Rachel Freeman and Steph Thompson, who straightened every slanty edge. Writer Carol Norris was on hand to record the work. I had to be very selective about the pieces I put in the exhibit, but two of them feature the planet Mars. the first is at the top of the page, "Under the Influence" and the second is to the left and above. One of the pieces in the show, “Limitless Undying Love” was inspired by the lyrics in the song: “Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns It calls me on and on, across the universe…”
